Welcome to CFMEU Construction Online

The CFMEU is the largest and most powerful trade union representing construction workers in Australia. It has members on all major building, and most civil construction projects across the country.

Building tradespeople -- including bricklayers, carpenters, plasterers, painters; skilled non-trades construction workers -- crane drivers, steel fixers, operators; and construction labourers and trades assistants belong to this union.

The CFMEU also has members working off-site in brick, tile and pottery manufacturing and in furnishing trades.

National leaders of the CFMEU Construction Division are Dave Noonan, Secretary, with Lindsay Fraser and Martin Kingham, Assistant Secretaries, and Tommy Watson, President.

Hard Hat

make it safe!

The national office of the Construction Division services the union and membership with specialist workers responsible for industrial and legal matters, lobbying government on policy issues and producing national publications like the journal, Hard Hat and Construction Safety Newsletter: make it safe.

CFMEU Construction has offices in all State capitals and many regional centres. To find out more about campaigns and representatives in your State, go to: The CFMEU in your State.
