The Howard Coalition government has used the fears and phobias that some elements in our society harbor to push through a draconian budget and at the same time attempt to further restrict people's civil rights.

Two major incidents with cranes over the last few weeks that can only be described as near misses, one on Les Lancsar's site and one on Wayne Wilson's, once again highlight the dangers faced by construction workers every day on site. The details of the accidents will be explained further into the journal in Les, Waynes or John Clyde's articles.
